The Wilde Lake Community Association (WLCA) of Columbia, MD is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to host an after school program for middle and high school students for the 2024-2025 school year. The program should aim to engage students in meaningful extracurricular activities that enhance their learning experience and personal development.
Duration:
The program shall run for 30 weeks during the 2024-2025 school year, commencing 1 October 2024 and concluding 10 June 2025. Sessions shall be scheduled for five days per week, Monday through Friday, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Scope of Work:
The vendor shall provide a comprehensive after school program that includes, but is not limited to:
- Structured activities designed to promote academic enrichment, personal growth, and social development.
- Opportunities for skill-building in areas such as arts, sciences, technology, physical fitness, and life skills.
- Access to resources conducive to a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Qualified staff to supervise and mentor students during program hours (at least 2 per session). Background checks are required.

Proposals must be submitted no later than 7 August 2024, 5 p.m. Eastern Time. Late submissions will not be considered.
Evaluation Criteria:
Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria.
- Alignment with program objectives and scope of work.
- Qualifications and experience of the vendor and key personnel.
- Cost-effectiveness and budget feasibility.
- Methodology for collecting and reporting on metrics.
- Ability to provide a safe and supportive environment for students.
